Our customers are well-informed, make good decisions and save money when they take advantage of our expertise and resources.

Customers begin by attending Select Milwaukee's Homebuyer Orientation. Orientations last 30 minutes and take place at Select Milwaukee on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 12:00 pm, and on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 5:30 pm. No registration is required. Customers who are employed by one of our Employee Assisted Homeonwership participants do not need to attend an orientation. Click here for a list of EAH employers.

At the Homebuyer Orientation customers learn about:

  • Homebuyer and financial wellness workshops
  • Individual homebuyer guidance
  • Home purchase, repair, and energy efficiency incentives
  • Referrals to other trusted organizations for financing, real estate, home inspection, and contractor services

Following the Orientation, Select Milwaukee will contact customers with the next step. This will include either scheduling an initial appointment with a Homeowner Specialist or registering for Select Milwaukee's Financial Wellness workshops to improve customers' financial readiness to purchase.
